PLANÈTE MER AWARDS

Presentation

"Planète Mer" has decided to provide financial support to certain individual initiatives linked to the maritime environment that are related to one of its own activities.
The principle is to support projects in favour of the protection of both maritime life and human activities that depend on it.

In order to achieve this, "Planète Mer" annually grants:

3 "Planète Mer" awards;
1 "Objective: Zero Carbon" award, and;
3 "Helping hands".

The "Planète Mer" Awards aim to support:

projects related to sustainable fishing

projects focused on the restoration of degraded environments

projects related to the protection of maritime biodiversity

The "Objective: Zero Carbon" award aims to reward a project focused on the reduction of greenhouse emissions directly related to the sea.

The "HELPING HANDS" awards endeavour to help existing structures attract funds by allowing them to formally establish or consolidate their work and present it to fund providers. A "Helping Hands" award may also provide the means to obtaining a "Planète Mer" award in a subsequent year.

Awards are granted each year at a special event organised for that purpose, which involves all the "Planète Mer" partners.
